About the Role
BMG is building its own integrated operating technology and AI workflows across hotels, restaurants and shared services. The Hospitality AI Systems & Capability Manager will translate managers' operating knowledge into practical BMG-owned systems and workflows and then train non-technical employees to use them effectively.
This role is broader than conventional programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe hotel, restaurant, HR, finance, procurement and guest-service workflows before designing automation.
- Document user requirements, pain points, approvals and exceptions.
- Develop and maintain BMG HRMS, AI scheduling, appraisal, CRM, dashboards and workflow applications.
- Integrate approved systems such as Cloudbeds, restaurant POS and other BMG operating platforms where technically appropriate.
- Maintain APIs, databases, access controls, audit trails, backups and fallback procedures.
- Use ChatGPT, Claude and other approved developer tools to accelerate development while maintaining engineering review and testing.
- Maintain human approval for sensitive decisions involving pay, scheduling, employee evaluation and material operating actions.
- Conduct user testing with managers and frontline employees.
- Apply user feedback rather than designing only from a programmer's perspective.
- Build prompts, operating playbooks, dashboards and simple guides for non-technical employees.
- Conduct structured weekly AI and systems training for Front Office, HR, Restaurant, Kitchen, Finance, Procurement and Guest Experience teams.
- Assess employee competency through practical assignments and system-use evidence.
- Maintain technology roadmaps and adoption dashboards.
- Measure before-and-after productivity, errors and adoption.

Structured Career Conversion
For technically experienced candidates, the conversion is not necessarily learning basic programming. The conversion may instead focus on understanding hospitality workflows, user-centred design, hospitality process improvement, staff capability development, change adoption and translating technology into practical daily use by non-technical teams.
Suitable Background
Candidates may come from software engineering, data science, automation, quantitative development, application development, systems engineering or related technology backgrounds. Prior hospitality experience is not required. Strong interest in learning hotel/F&B operations and developing non-technical users is essential.
About BMG Hospitality
BMG Hospitality is developing an integrated hospitality platform combining Capsule Social Modern accommodation, Gabriel Restaurants and internally developed digital operating systems.
Our operating philosophy is that AI should support employees and managers rather than replace human judgement. Employees will learn to use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and BMG-developed systems to improve productivity, guest experience, workforce planning, reporting and decision-making.
Applicants who are interested in genuine career conversion, hospitality innovation and building new capabilities are encouraged to apply.
