Hotel Housekeeping Staff

We are looking for responsible and hardworking Hotel Housekeeping Staff to maintain guest rooms and hotel areas to a clean, comfortable and presentable standard.

Job Responsibilities

  • Clean and make up guest rooms according to hotel standards
  • Change bed linens, pillowcases and towels
  • Clean and sanitise bathrooms, toilets, sinks and shower areas
  • Vacuum, sweep and mop floors where required
  • Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures and other surfaces
  • Replenish guest amenities, toiletries, drinking water and other room supplies
  • Clear rubbish and replace waste bin liners
  • Check rooms for damaged or missing items and report any issues promptly
  • Report maintenance defects or unusual findings to the Supervisor
  • Handle guest belongings with care and respect
  • Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping equipment, trolley and work areas
  • Follow proper cleaning, hygiene and safety procedures
  • Assist with cleaning of common or public areas when required
  • Complete assigned rooms and duties within the required timeframe
  • Carry out other housekeeping duties assigned by the Supervisor

Job Requirements

  • Previous hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage
  • Candidates without experience may be considered if willing to learn
  • Able to perform physically demanding duties, including standing, walking, bending and lifting
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions
  • Good attention to cleanliness and detail
  • Responsible, punctual and reliable
  • Able to work efficiently within scheduled room-cleaning timelines
  • Comfortable working in a hotel environment and around guests
  • Able to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays where required
  • Able to communicate basic work-related information with Supervisors and team members
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support the team when needed

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in keeping rooms clean and comfortable for guests. You should be dependable, attentive to detail and able to work at a steady pace while maintaining the required housekeeping standards.
