CW Aero Services Pte Ltd is a company established in Singapore, a young entity of a business active for 20 years in the local Aerospace Industry.

We are specialist in selling and supporting Aviation products mainly from high quality European manufacturers, to airports, airlines and maintenance centres in Asia. Since 2015, the Engineering department provides a highly qualified technical support for these products. In addition, CW Aero Services also provides installation, commissioning, training, repair and maintenance services for MRO equipment, such as test stands, to major companies within the aviation industry. Engineering services are provided in Singapore and within the region as well.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Field Service Technician to join our team in the Aviation/MRO industry. Experience from other technical industries (Plant/Marine/Oil & gas/ etc. ) will also be considered.

As a Hydraulic Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining hydraulic test stands used in the aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes. Your expertise in hydraulic systems and equipment will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning and accuracy of the test stands. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. You will report to the Engineering/ Operations manager and will work alongside with other engineers and technicians on projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic test stands used in the aviation industry.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, actuators, filters, and pressure gauges.
  • Diagnose and resolve hydraulic system issues, such as leaks, pressure fluctuations, and component failures.
  • Calibrate and validate hydraulic test stands to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand their specific requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions.
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to customers on the operation and maintenance of hydraulic test stands.
  • Document service activities, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance, accurately and thoroughly.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to hydraulic systems and equipment in the aviation/MRO sector.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance the performance and efficiency of hydraulic test stands.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and guidelines during service and maintenance activities.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • NITEC in Mechanical Technology / Polytechnic Diploma (Mechatronic / Industrial machinery); additional technical certifications or relevant education and experience is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience as a Hydraulic Field Service Technician, working with Powerpacks & common hydraulic system elements (Relief valves, filters, DCV, Regulators, etc) , preferably in the aviation/MRO industry. Other similar technical industries (Oil/Gas/ Marine) will be considered.
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting hydraulic systems, components, or equipment commonly used in aviation maintenance and testing.
  • Knowledge of calibrating and validating hydraulic test equipment (Pressure Gauges, Flowmeters) for accurate testing and measurement.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use various hand tools and specialized hydraulic testing equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyze and resolve technical issues.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, able to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing service tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for on-site service and support, as required.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all relevant safety procedures and guidelines.

Additional

  • Knowledge of electrical diagrams is a plus
  • Knowledge in machining/fabrication is a plus
  • Possession of class 3 license is a plus
