The posting

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and carrying out hydrographic surveys.
  • Mobilise, set up and calibrate survey equipment on dredging platforms.
  • Conduct environmental checks, including water quality and current observations.
  • Perform quality checks on survey data, including tidal and sound velocity corrections.
  • Prepare survey records, reports, charts and bathymetric deliverables.
  • Conduct patch tests and maintain accurate field documentation.
  • Coordinate with vessel crews and project managers to support safe operations.
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients to meet project requirements.
  • Monitor dredging progress, production and accuracy in real time.
  • Update pre- and post-dredging charts and troubleshoot dredging software and positioning systems.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of GNSS positioning, geodesy, land surveying, and hydrographic survey methods.
  • Familiar with SBES/MBES, tidal corrections, vertical datums, and underwater acoustics.
  • Proficient in GIS, CAD, Microsoft Office, and basic computer troubleshooting.
