Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial, periodic and surveillance inspections of manufacturing facilities under applicable Product Listing and certification schemes.
- Assess manufacturing processes, production controls, quality systems and product conformity against applicable standards and certification requirements.
- Review technical documents including test reports, product specifications, drawings and quality records during factory and site inspections.
- Conduct product sampling and coordinate samples for testing where required.
- Identify and document non-conformities, evaluate corrective actions and follow up on closure.
- Prepare clear, accurate and timely inspection reports and supporting records.
- Monitor surveillance schedules to ensure inspections are completed within the required certification cycle.
- Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and internal teams on inspection requirements and technical findings.
- Support continuous improvement and digitalisation of inspection processes.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building & Construction, Materials Science or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant experience in product inspection, testing, certification, quality assurance, manufacturing or conformity assessment.
- Experience with Product Listing, product certification or regulatory certification schemes is advantageous.
- Good understanding of technical standards, manufacturing processes, quality systems and product conformity.
- Able to interpret technical drawings, product specifications and test reports.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and sound technical judgement.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Willing to travel locally and overseas for factory inspections.
