The posting

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an internal audit professional to strengthen financial and operational controls, support Group-wide compliance and drive practical process improvements.

Location: Suntec Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review audit programmes covering financial controls, operational processes and compliance.
  • Evaluate key internal controls, identify deficiencies and root causes, and recommend practical improvements to control effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the implementation of significant audit recommendations, coordinating timelines, resources and practical trade-offs. Provide hands-on guidance to departments to achieve the intended outcomes.
  • Support the development, implementation and adoption of corporate policies and procedures, and monitor compliance across the Group.
  • Advise business stakeholders on risks, controls and process improvements, and support the implementation of agreed actions.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of lease accounting, including compliance with IFRS 16.
  • Test lease-related controls, review processes for tracking critical lease dates, and verify rental and expense calculations and reconciliations.
  • Prepare internal control and risk management reports.
  • Prepare and maintain audit reports for review by management and the Audit Committee.
  • Support Group senior management on assigned projects, including business research, investigations, monitoring and analysis of new business proposals and corporate finance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or a related discipline.
  • CPA qualification and prior external audit experience with a Big Four or second-tier audit firm are mandatory.
  • At least 5 years of relevant internal audit experience.
  • Experience in the entertainment or retail industry is preferred.
