About the Company

Our client, Hengda International Asset Management Pte. Ltd., operates within a family office structure in Singapore, supporting the family’s investment activities and related financial and administrative operations.

This position supports the evaluation and monitoring of investments through research, financial analysis and clear reporting. The role requires an analytical approach, careful assessment of risk and discretion when handling confidential investment information.

About the Role

We are seeking an Investment Analyst with relevant investment or financial analysis experience to support management in researching opportunities, conducting due diligence and monitoring portfolio performance.

The successful candidate will organise and evaluate information, develop financial analyses and communicate findings to support investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Research and Analysis

  • Conduct research on companies, industries and economic developments relevant to the family office’s investment interests.
  • Analyse financial statements, business models, competitive positioning and key performance drivers.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, valuation analyses and scenario assessments.
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities, identifying key assumptions, risks and matters requiring further investigation.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, research summaries and presentation materials for management’s review.
  • Monitor market developments and explain their potential implications for existing and prospective investments.

Due Diligence and Portfolio Monitoring

  • Support investment due diligence by reviewing financial information, business presentations and other supporting documents.
  • Coordinate information requests and follow-up queries with investment managers, counterparties and professional advisers.
  • Track portfolio performance, cash flows, investment exposures and significant developments.
  • Reconcile portfolio information against statements and reports from relevant service providers, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist with periodic portfolio reports and updates on investment performance and risks.
  • Maintain organised research files, financial models and records of investment evaluations.
  • Support the preparation of materials for investment discussions and follow up on outstanding analysis.
  • Undertake other research and analytical duties relevant to the role.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Relevant work experience or internship exposure in investment research, asset management, corporate finance, valuation or financial analysis.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and apply fundamental valuation methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to distinguish supporting evidence from assumptions.
  • Ability to present findings clearly and explain investment opportunities and risks in a structured manner.
  • Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and a willingness to investigate unfamiliar topics.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work collaboratively and handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Familiarity with financial research databases or portfolio reporting tools would be an advantage.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
