We are seeking motivated and passionate graduates to joinour IT Support Engineer Team through the Graduate Industry Traineeships(GRIT) Programme.

About the GRIT Programme

The Graduate Industry Traineeships (GRIT)Programme is an initiative by the Skills and WorkforceDevelopment Agency (SWDA)that provides fresh graduates with structuredtraineeship opportunities across various industries for a period of 3 to 6months.

The programme aims to support fresh graduates with no priorworking experience by providing hands-on industry exposure and practical skillsdevelopment. Through structured training and real-world project experience, trainees gain industry-relevant competencies that support their transition intofull-time employment.

JOB SUMMARY:

To log, validate and diagnose customer issues, on the full range of products and applications used at the customer site. Providing the customer with a solution through information gathering, analytical trouble shooting and problem research, or to route or escalate the call to the appropriate resolution group. Ensure escalation and management of calls is to agreed service levels.

Profile:

- The ideal candidate has previous experience in effectively coping with a fast-paced, high-pressure role in a constantly changing business environment. He/she will be strongly team-focused and have proven communication skills. The candidate is flexible and willing to work variable shift pattern.

- Preferably the suitable candidate has a technical aptitude and a basic understanding of various hardware, software, Microsoft® operating systems and applications.

- Ideally, candidates will have previous experience working within a technical support environment/customer service environment, delivering front-line service directly to customers, preferably within an international company.

Responsibilities & Activities:

> Answer contacts promptly and professionally

> Log/Validate all contacts Call Handling Database

> Resolve a high percentage of customer problems using the relevant tools and systems

> Manage end to end all calls logged, providing regular updates to customers on call status

> Complete follow-on actions as appropriate

> Invoke Escalation Procedures within defined time frames

> Adhere to account Policies & Procedures

> Work to achieve individual and team goals

> Protect confidential and sensitive information and materials

> Observe strict compliance to licensing, copyright and trademark legislation

> Accomplish other duties as required

> Adhere to all DXC Policies & Procedures – Including Security and SOBC

Eligibility Criteria

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
  • Graduated in 2024, 2025, or 2026 from a University, Polytechnic, Institute of Technical Education (ITE), or other educational institution (including private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from the above institutions and completed National Service (NS) in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
  • Must have no prior working experience.
  • Must be prepared to commit to a full-time traineeship.

Note: Trainees who complete their studies in2026 but will only receive their qualification or certification award in 2027are also eligible to apply.

DXC-Specific Requirements

In addition to meeting the GRIT Programme eligibilitycriteria:

  • Applicants must be available to commit to a minimum six (6) month full-time traineeship with DXC Technology.
  • Due to project and business requirements, DXC will only consider candidates who are available for the full 6-month duration.
  • Candidates who are unable to complete the full 6-month traineeship commitment will not be considered.
