The posting

UST is a global technology services company. We are hiring an IT Support Engineer to

be based full-time at our client's site in Tuas South.

You will be employed by UST and deployed onsite as part of our managed IT support team, providing day-to-day desktop, hardware and network support to the client's end users.

Working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Mondays to Fridays. The client operates seven

shuttle bus routes serving major MRT stations across the island, so the Tuas South location is well connected.

This is a long-term engagement with scope to grow as our onsite services expand.

What you will do

Desktop and end-user support

- Install, configure, maintain and upgrade Windows operating systems, including building and maintaining system images

- Install, maintain and upgrade Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office, browsers and other business applications

- Resolve day-to-day software and hardware issues for end users, and provide basic user training and guidance

- Install antivirus software, keep virus definitions current, and clean infected endpoints

Hardware support

- Install, configure and commission desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals and drivers

- Diagnose, isolate and resolve hardware faults

- Raise and manage repair and RMA cases with vendors

- Carry out preventive maintenance on hard drives, motherboards, memory and other

components to keep equipment stable and extend its service life

- Maintain the asset register, including tagging and registration, and report on

maintenance volumes and costs

Network support

- Support and troubleshoot endpoint network connectivity, including switch-to-endpoint issues

- Support wired and wireless networks, shared drives and VPN access

Service desk

- Log, prioritise and resolve tickets assigned through the ticketing system within the agreed service levels

- Handle other service desk tasks as scheduled with the client

What we are looking for

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, desktop support or a service desk environment

- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, PC hardware and printing systems

- Able to perform basic troubleshooting and configuration on network hardware

- Experience supporting office networks, Wi-Fi, shared drives and VPN connectivity

- Comfortable configuring and troubleshooting common business applications

- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin. This role requires supporting and maintaining both English and Chinese language versions of the operating system and business applications, and providing user guidance to Mandarin-speaking staff at the client site

- Good customer communication skills, and the ability to plan and organise your own

workload

Advantageous but not required

- Experience supporting users in a healthcare organisation, or in a large multinational corporate environment

What we offer

- Monthly salary of SGD 3,800 to 5,000, depending on experience

- Annual Wage Supplement

- CPF, annual leave, medical leave and other statutory benefits

- A long-term onsite engagement with a stable client

- Shuttle bus access from major MRT stations

Additional information

This position is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment health

screening as required for access to the client's site.

We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Personal data collected will be used for recruitment purposes only, and will be retained and disposed of in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
