Job Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day ICT helpdesk and technical support to staff and students across the school.
  • Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers, peripherals and software applications across both Windows and Apple environments.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and web-based application issues, providing first and second-level user support.
  • Support Mac, Windows and iOS devices, including laptops, tablets and other mobile devices used within the school.
  • Assist with mobile device deployment, configuration and ongoing support while ensuring compliance with school ICT policies.
  • Maintain classroom technology including interactive whiteboards, projectors, audio systems and other teaching equipment.
  • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity and access-point issues, escalating to external service providers where necessary.
  • Support printers, IP phones and other ICT equipment, including configuration, firmware updates and basic repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of ICT equipment, software licences, installations, faults and resolutions through the school’s helpdesk and inventory systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors and equipment suppliers for repairs or technical issues requiring specialist support.
  • Assist with equipment loans, purchasing requirements, technical documentation and general ICT administration.
  • Provide ICT support for school events and functions when required, which may occasionally include weekend coverage.

The role is quite hands-on and broader than a standard helpdesk position—it covers endpoint support, mobile devices, classroom technology, Wi-Fi, printers and IP telephony.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant Diploma or qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline would be advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience providing IT/ICT helpdesk, desktop or end-user technical support.
  • Strong working knowledge of both Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting Mac, Windows and iOS devices, laptops, desktops and peripherals.
  • Experience installing and supporting common software applications, including Microsoft and Apple applications.
  • Good understanding of mobile device support, Wi-Fi connectivity and general network troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting printers, classroom AV equipment or IP telephony would be advantageous.
  • Able to diagnose technical issues systematically and perform basic hardware troubleshooting or repairs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support users with different levels of technical knowledge.
  • Service-oriented, organised and comfortable working independently as well as within an ICT team.
  • Experience supporting technology within a school or education environment would be an advantage.
  • Willing to support occasional school events outside normal working hours when required.

All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
