The ideal candidate will be able to simultaneously act as the face of IT, and provide world-class customer service to our end users and executives. The IT Engineer will support and configure the workstations for Motional’s end users, as well as assist with the automation of various tasks. • Creatively problem-solve and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Properly document and process incident requests to meet SLA requirements, and escalate security, hardware, or software concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitor AV and conferencing equipment to ensure maximum availability. Manage IT inventory lifecycle through our internal asset management tools.
  • Master and execute hardware configuration and imaging processes for workstations and laptops using Motional's standardized practices.
  • Learn, document, and continuously improve internal IT processes. Create and maintain clear support documentation for both internal and external consumption.
  • Partner effectively with multiple internal and external teams to facilitate the successful completion of projects and align with departmental OKRs (Objective and Key Results).
  • Utilize a broad familiarity with IT Security best practices to secure the company's IP and help maintain our departmental goal of 99.99% uptime for all IT services.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience supporting desktop systems across multiple operating systems (Windows, Mac, & Linux).
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot a wide array of problems, ranging from basic networking issues to complex workstation anomalies.
  • Solid understanding of IT security practices and their practical application in a corporate environment.
  • Capable of performing the physical duties essential to the role, which includes safely lifting, moving, and deploying IT hardware equipment (such as workstations, monitors, and peripherals) across the office.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively with limited supervision.
  • A thirst for knowledge and a strong desire to learn new information systems and cutting-edge technologies.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with MDM (Mobile Device Management) administration.
  • Familiarity with cellular and mobile device configuration and troubleshooting.

In Return You Can Expect:

  • We are a growing IT department and encourage skill set growth among our team. Motional is moving on cutting edge technology and it’s an exciting space to work in.
  • We are also an organization that fosters a culture that has a focus on DEI.
  • Motional IT Engineers have exposure to a variety of leading edge technology on-premise and in the cloud to deliver capabilities to develop autonomous vehicles and related segments.
  • Individuals in this role can expect to have exposure and opportunities to work on large scale storage clusters (PB), high speed networks (100Gbps), high performance compute services in the cloud, and a variety of other industry leading solutions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
