The posting

We are looking for an Operations Support Engineer to provide application and system support for enterprise smart systems, including IIoT, video and web-based applications.

The role covers both frontend application support and backend system support, including troubleshooting, system monitoring, patching, security compliance, access management and coordination with vendors to ensure systems remain stable and available.

  • Working Hours: Mon-Fri
  • Working Location: Central
  • Salary Package: Up to $5500 (basic) + AWS

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day frontend and backend application/system support, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Investigate application errors, system issues, user-reported incidents and service disruptions.
  • Monitor application, server and system logs to identify operational or security issues.
  • Support backend infrastructure, application servers, databases and system integrations.
  • Support frontend/web applications and troubleshoot user-facing application issues.
  • Monitor system availability, performance and overall operational health.
  • Coordinate system patching, vulnerability remediation and security-related activities.
  • Manage user accounts, access reviews, permissions and account hygiene.
  • Track software licences, certificates, subscriptions and renewal timelines.
  • Monitor system End-of-Support (EOS) and End-of-Life (EOL) timelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors on system maintenance, troubleshooting and technical issues.
  • Review maintenance and system performance reports against agreed SLAs/KPIs.
  • Support Change Requests, system upgrades, deployments and configuration changes.
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and maintenance records.
  • Support system risk assessments, audits and compliance with ICT/security requirements.
  • Assist with system decommissioning and data retention activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in application support, production support, system support or IT operations.
  • Hands-on experience supporting both frontend applications and backend systems.
  • Good troubleshooting skills across applications, servers, databases and system integrations.
  • Familiar with Windows/Linux servers, SQL/databases, application logs and system monitoring.
  • Knowledge of patching, vulnerability management, user access management and security compliance.
  • Experience working with vendors and coordinating technical incidents or maintenance activities.
  • Good communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to troubleshoot issues independently and coordinate resolution across different technical teams.

Good to Have

Experience with web applications, APIs, SQL, IIS/application servers, Linux/Windows, networking, cloud platforms, IIoT or video management systems will be advantageous.
