The posting

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices to develop and support enterprise-scale applications.

Requirements

Experience

  • 6–8 years of overall IT experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
  • Recent experience as a Java Backend Developer, Senior Developer, or Technical Lead is preferred.
  • Experience in enterprise-scale application development.

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17/21.
  • Strong knowledge of:Core Java and OOPCollectionsMultithreading and concurrencyException handlingJVMDesign patterns
  • Extensive experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.

Microservices & API

  • Experience designing and developing Microservices.
  • Strong experience in REST API development and integration.
  • Knowledge of API Gateway, Service Discovery, and Configuration Management.
  • Exposure to SOAP services is an advantage.
  • Experience with Event-Driven Architecture.

Database & Messaging

  • Hands-on experience with one or more of Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or MQ.

Development & Delivery

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Participation in code reviews and architecture discussions.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and production support.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and taking technical ownership of modules/features.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Apache Camel
  • CI/CD tools and pipelines
  • Monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Geneos
  • Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket

Preferred Domain Experience

  • Experience in Banking, Payments, Financial Services, Digital Banking, or other enterprise application environments will be an advantage.
