Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the school library.
  • Promote reading, literacy and a love of books among students.
  • Organise book promotions, reading activities and library programmes.
  • Work with teachers to provide resources that support the school curriculum.
  • Manage and maintain library books, digital resources and the library system.
  • Monitor library usage and recommend suitable new resources.
  • Support students in developing library and research skills.
  • Supervise and guide student librarians where required.
  • Support school activities and contribute to students’ well-being and learning experience.
  • Follow school policies on safeguarding, student welfare and safety.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Library Studies, Education or a related field.
  • Relevant library or school experience is preferred.
  • Passionate about books, reading and working with students.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Comfortable using library systems and digital resources.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative, approachable and able to engage students.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Committed to student well-being and safeguarding.
