  • Service compressors (Carrier, Daikin, York, Sabroe, Bitzer, Copeland), fan motors, pumps, air handling units (AHUs), and fan coil units (FCUs)
  • Perform leak detection, nitrogen pressure testing, vacuuming, and refrigerant charging to ensure system integrity
  • Carry out electrical troubleshooting on contactors, relays, overloads, pressure switches, thermostats, and temperature controllers
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and control schematics to diagnose faults

  • Attend vessel breakdowns at Singapore ports, anchorages, and shipyards
  • Prepare service reports accurately to support job completion and documentation
  • Follow safe working practices onboard vessels, including safe electrical isolation procedures

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • 1 – 3 years of hands-on experience servicing air-conditioning or refrigeration systems; marine or shipyard experience is an advantage but not required
  • Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, or Air-Con & Refrigeration, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Competent with gauges, vacuum pump, leak detector, multimeter, and general hand tools
  • Able to handle physical work such as lifting, climbing, and working in engine rooms, at heights, and in confined spaces
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and attend emergency vessel breakdowns
  • Willingness to travel overseas on short assignments (typically a few days to two weeks) to attend vessels in port or anchorage
  • Possession of a Class 3 driving licence is an advantage

Other Information

  • Employment type: Full-time, permanent
  • Location: Singapore office at Kelantan Lane; work primarily onboard vessels at Singapore ports, anchorages, and shipyards, with occasional overseas assignments
  • Basic salary: $1,800 – $2,200 per month, depending on experience
  • Overtime pay, performance incentives, medical benefits, and annual leave
  • Training on marine chiller plants, provision refrigeration, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and PLC-based control systems
  • Exposure to condition monitoring work such as vibration analysis and thermal imaging on marine machinery
  • Career progression to Senior Technician
  • Occasional overseas trips to attend vessels in port or at shipyards — short trips, flying in and out

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
