The posting

Looking for healthcare assistants to support inpatient care services in a hospital environment. This short-term opportunity is suitable for candidates with healthcare training who are comfortable assisting patients with daily activities and working flexible shifts.

Job Description

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) under the guidance of nursing and healthcare teams.
  • Support patients with basic personal care and mobility needs.
  • Assist with feeding, toileting and other routine patient care activities where required.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Support nursing staff with non-clinical patient care duties.
  • Assist patients with transfers and mobility according to established procedures.
  • Observe and report any changes in patients' condition or needs to the nursing team.
  • Follow hospital policies, infection control practices and workplace safety procedures.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with patients, visitors and healthcare colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare staff to support daily ward operations.

Who Should Apply

  • Possess Nitec, Diploma or Degree-level nursing qualifications.
  • Candidates with prior Healthcare Assistant (HCA) training or relevant patient-care experience.
  • Individuals who are comfortable providing hands-on patient support in a hospital environment.
