📢 Kitchen Assistant x1

💰 $12–$12.50/hour, approx. $1,560–$1,625/month

📅 20-month contract (no work on Nov and Dec both years)

🗓️ January 2027 – December 2028

⏰ Monday–Friday, 7:00am–1:00pm, inclusive of a 15-minute break Flexible hours may apply depending on school needs.

📆 Monday–Friday; no Saturdays, Sundays or gazetted public holidays

📋 Job Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain school kitchens, preparation areas, stoves, work surfaces and refrigerators.
  • Receive and check grocery deliveries against orders and receipts.
  • Organise and store groceries appropriately.
  • Prepare and portion ingredients and equipment for practical lessons.
  • Conduct stocktaking and ensure equipment is returned, cleaned and properly stored.
  • Assist with accounting for and securing sharp equipment such as knives and peelers.
  • Organise kitchen equipment and maintain cupboards in good order.
  • Identify faulty equipment and report items requiring repair or replacement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

🎓 Job Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Meticulous and organised with good attention to detail.
  • Able to multitask and work independently.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good team player.
