Job Description
As a KYC Advisory Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting Relationship Managers and business stakeholders in maintaining high-quality client due diligence standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Review and enhance existing client KYC profiles to meet regulatory and internal requirements.
- Partner closely with Front Office teams on periodic client reviews and remediation exercises.
- Assess and validate Source of Wealth (SOW) and Source of Funds (SOF) information and supporting documentation.
- Conduct client due diligence reviews, risk assessments, name screening validation, and plausibility checks.
- Review complex client structures, including companies, trusts, foundations, and individual accounts.
- Identify potential risk indicators, unusual activities, and escalation triggers where appropriate.
- Provide advisory support and guidance on KYC and customer due diligence matters to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation, review rationale, and audit-ready records.
- Participate in governance reporting and contribute to process enhancement initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful KYC Advisory Specialist (Private Banking) Specialist should have:
- Experience in KYC remediation, onboarding, periodic reviews, or KYC advisory within private banking.
- Strong knowledge of KYC, AML, customer due diligence (CDD), SOW, and SOF assessment frameworks.
- Ability to assess financial documentation and corroborate client wealth sources.
- Experience supporting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client portfolios.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications within finance, banking, business, law, or related disciplines.
