Job responsibilities:
Quality, Risk and Improvements
- Coordinate and follow up on Non-conformances & Observations through to closure
- Conduct Risk session and follow up Risk actions.
- Plan, coordinate and carry out internal audits and verifications; support the Lead Auditor as required.
- Facilitate Experience Transfer sessions to embed lessons learned across the project.
- Coordinating and following up on improvement initiatives and incentive schemes to promote QRM matters in the project.
- Prepare weekly and monthly Quality reports for Projects and Construction.
- Participate in project meetings as directed by the Project Quality Manager.
- Acting as the contact for the client and authorities on QRM-related matters.
Vendor Pre-qualification and Criticality Assessment
- Coordinate and perform Vendor Pre-qualification (TQSR) activities, including document review and on-site audits where required.
- Establish and maintain Criticality Ratings for all procurement packages.
- Ensure detailed Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are developed for all subcontracts and purchase orders, incorporating project intervention points based on criticality levels.
Vendor Inspection and Oversight
- Lead and manage Vendor Inspection Engineers assigned for Various packages and activities.
- Manage, supervise and monitor vendor inspection activities executed through Third-Party Inspection (TPI) service contracts as TPI Coordinator.
- Coordinate with fabrication yards and vendors on all QA/QC documentation requirements.
- Develop vendor package follow-up plan based on ITP & Coordinate inspection activities with client, Construction, completion & operations representatives.
- Attend pre-inspection meetings, conduct surveillance visits, witness tests and verify timely production of inspection reports in line with ITP requirements.
- Review vendor quality and final documentation; resolve client comments in coordination with vendors.
- Report progress and escalate potential problem areas to Package Responsible Engineers, Site Quality Coordinators and the Project Quality Manager.
- Conduct planned and ad hoc audits or reviews of vendor activities as required by the project.
- Identify non-conformances; ensure deviations (including waivers) are formally raised, investigated, correctively actioned, and closed out with documented evidence.
Construction Quality and General
- Collaborate with the Construction & Mechanical Completion discipline to ensure quality activities are executed on schedule and in accordance with approved procedures.
- Assist in preparing work instructions when required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Work experience requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality engineer FPSO/EPC projects regionally.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Vendor Inspection Coordination & Auditor role.
- Experience in Risk Coordinator position is preferred.
- DNV Class FPSO EPC project experience is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
Certified Lead or Internal Auditor.
- CSWIP Welding and NDE Inspection Certification.
- Welding Engineer (Preferred).
- NACE Coating Inspection Certification (preferred).
- Basic EIT inspection and certification (Preferred).
- Risk Coordinator Certification (preferred).
Other skills:
- Good knowledge of and experience in developing and reviewing WPSs and PQRs.
- Good knowledge of NDE methods and procedure review.
- Good knowledge of coating systems.
- Good knowledge of EIT inspection and certification requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong working knowledge of oil and gas industry standards: ASME, ANSI, ASTM, API, ISO, NORSOK, CNLOER, and equivalent.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare project reports and present technical issues to design teams and external parties.
- Comfortable working in international, multicultural environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of design, quality, certification and vendor processes on FPSO projects.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Willing and able to travel internationally on short notice and perform overtime as required.
