About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and people-oriented Learning & Development Executive to support the development of our employees and strengthen the organization's training and learning system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering employee training programmes, preparing training materials, supporting onboarding programmes and developing employees' knowledge, skills and workplace competencies.

This position is suitable for candidates with backgrounds in Education, English, Human Resources, Business Administration, Training or related disciplines, as well as candidates with teaching, coaching or learning facilitation experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employee Training & Development

  • Conduct employee orientation and onboarding programmes.
  • Deliver job-specific and departmental training sessions.
  • Organize refresher and continuous learning programmes.
  • Identify employee learning and development needs.
  • Monitor employees' learning progress and competency development.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees when required.

2. Training Material & Programme Development

  • Prepare and update training manuals and learning materials.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations, training guides and instructional resources.
  • Assist in developing company SOPs, work instructions and training guidelines.
  • Prepare quizzes, assessments and employee evaluation forms.
  • Develop bilingual English and Chinese training materials where required.

3. Training Administration

  • Prepare monthly and annual training plans.
  • Coordinate training schedules with different departments.
  • Maintain accurate employee training and attendance records.
  • Monitor training completion and assessment results.
  • Prepare training reports and documentation.

4. Coaching & Employee Development

  • Observe employees during training and operational activities.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Identify employee competency gaps.
  • Support supervisors in improving employee performance.
  • Assist in developing individual learning and development plans.

5. Quality & SOP Training

  • Conduct training on company policies, SOPs and workplace procedures.
  • Ensure employees understand operational and service standards.
  • Support internal quality improvement initiatives.
  • Follow up on training effectiveness and employee competency.

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with HR and Operations teams.
  • Coordinate internal training sessions and workshops.
  • Liaise with external training providers when required.
  • Promote a positive learning and development culture within the organization.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, English, Human Resources, Business Administration or related disciplines.
  • Candidates with a strong educational background and relevant transferable skills are welcome to apply.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in training, teaching, coaching, learning & development or a related field is preferred.
  • Candidates with teaching, tutoring, coaching or training facilitation experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in Food & Beverage, Retail, Hospitality or Service industries will be an advantage.

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and public-speaking abilities.
  • Good interpersonal and people-management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Able to prepare structured training materials and presentations.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Workspace is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Chinese is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications or experience will be considered an advantage:

  • Recognized teaching qualification or teaching certification.
  • Teaching or training experience.
  • Curriculum or training programme development experience.
  • Experience in employee onboarding.
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring.
  • Experience preparing bilingual training materials.
  • Experience in SOP development or workplace training.
  • Experience in the Food & Beverage, Retail or Service industries.

These qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.
