Currently, we're hiring Legal Consultant to join us with:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience as in-house or commercial lawyer.
  • In-house legal experience is preferred (directly, or as a secondee) though not essential.
  • Proficiency in writing and drafting legal documents, as well as the capacity to support the legal team.
  • Strong commercial understanding and excellent interpersonal skills.

The responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Product structuring and launch - Advise on the design, structuring, launch and ongoing operation of structured products, derivatives, tokenised securities and other institutional financial products.
  • Legal and regulatory risk - Identify, assess and manage legal and regulatory risks relating to securities, derivatives, tokenisation, trading and related financial-services activities.
  • Product documentation - Draft, review and negotiate product terms, trading documentation, brokerage and tokenisation agreements, ISDA and other derivatives documentation, and commercial contracts required to support launches.
  • Regulatory engagement and licensing - Support licensing initiatives, product notifications and regulator queries, working closely with regulatory, compliance and business teams.
  • Cross-functional partnership - Partner with Compliance, Risk, Product, Business Development, Operations, Marketing and external advisers to deliver commercially workable solutions.
  • Financial promotions and customer issues - Review product-related marketing and communications, and support the handling of client complaints or disputes where required.
