We are a leading engineering and construction company based in Singapore. With multifaceted project management capabilities and a strong diverse workforce, we provide a full range of services in engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance of power and industrial plants across the world.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to the group of companies and business units on a broad range of legal, contractual, corporate and commercial issues; including contracts review, drafting, negotiation and advisory generally
- Support commercial, contract and claims management of projects
- Support setting up of subsidiaries, associates, branches and project offices, and the closing or liquidation of such set up
- Coordinate with external legal counsels and consultants and oversee the progress of their work
- Coordinate with and advise business units and departments on legal and contractual matters
- Any other duties to be assigned from time to time
Prerequisites:
- Degree in Law
- Minimum 8 years’ post-qualification experience, with good knowledge of construction law and with significant experience in leading negotiation and finalisation of construction contracts, particularly for engineering, procurement and construction projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill, pro-active and independent
- High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Willing to travel when required
