Our client is a prominent conglomerate operating within a complex and regulated environment. They are looking to appoint a mid-level Legal Counsel to support a portfolio of large-scale infrastructure and development projects. This is a highly business-facing role offering exposure to sophisticated project, procurement and contractual matters, working closely with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
You will provide legal support across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure and development projects, covering procurement, tenders, contract negotiation, project delivery and contract administration. This includes drafting and negotiating construction, consultancy, maintenance and other commercial agreements, advising on contractual risks, claims, variations and delays, and supporting the management of disputes through negotiation, mediation, litigation or arbitration. You will also partner closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel, while contributing to the development of legal templates, guidance and best practices.
Requirements
You are a mid level Singapore-qualified lawyer with at least 5PQE, gained with a law firm and/or in-house legal team. Relevant experience in commercial contracts, projects, infrastructure, construction, procurement and/or dispute resolution is preferred. You possess strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, coupled with sound commercial judgment. A pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach and the ability to independently manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment will be essential.
