The posting

The Legal Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating all

corporate legal and compliance matters of the company. This includes liaising with external lawyers, representing the company in Small Claims Tribunal (SCT) cases, drafting and vetting contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and certifications. The role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to support management in all legal and compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Case Management

· Liaise with external lawyers on all corporate and operational legal matters.

· Attend and represent the company in Small Claims Tribunal (SCT) hearings and related court proceedings.

· Source, evaluate, and recommend suitable law firms or lawyers for specific cases.

· Compare legal service fees and provide cost analyses for management’s decision-making.

· Track and monitor the progress of all legal cases and ensure timely updates to management.

· Maintain accurate legal case records, lawyer fees, and case documents in the company’s internal system.

· Draft and prepare case summaries, statements of facts, and supporting evidence for submission to lawyers.

· Prepare weekly reports to management on the status of ongoing and closed cases.

Contracts and Agreements

· Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s interests.

· Ensure all contracts comply with statutory and company requirements.

· Work with relevant departments to clarify terms, identify risks, and ensure contract accuracy before execution.

· Maintain a central repository for all executed contract sand agreements.

Compliance & Certification

· Ensure the company’s full compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.

· Oversee renewals and audits of certifications such as HACCP and other operational accreditations.

· Maintain up-to-date compliance documentation and records within the company’s system.

· Monitor and update management on new laws, courtregulations, or industryrequirements impacting business operations.

Liaison & Communication

· Coordinate with respective department managers to gather information and evidence for legal cases.

· Communicate effectively with external legal counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth case handling.

· Support management in preparing and reviewing legal correspondence, policies, and official responses.
