Summary

You will independently assess and manage patients referred for occupational therapy, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with medical teams to ensure quality patient care and service standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage patients referred for occupational therapy independently and implement appropriate treatment plans.
  • Report to referring doctor and other members ofthe medical team.
  • Document patient occupational therapy recordsaccurately.
  • Charge patients accurately.
  • Perform registration of new patients.
  • Update individual performance statistical records regularly.
  • Comply with clinical and service standards.
  • Practice within areas of professional competence and seek clinical support from supervisor/other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare members and participate in case conferences.
  • Carry out regular inventory / equipment checks.
  • Assist in the review and update of clinicalprotocols and SOPs.
  • Assist in managing projects assigned to theworkgroup.
  • Participate in departmental QC and otheractivities, and to lead in some activities.
  • Assist in promoting / marketing clinicalservices.
  • Assist in clinical education of occupational therapy students.
  • Assist in the induction of new occupational therapists.
  • Contribute to departmental in service training programmes and hospital educational talks.
  • Actively update occupational therapy knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Degree
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
