Logistics & Administrative Support Staff
Location: Changi Road, Singapore Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Working Days: 6 days per week Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised Logistics & Administrative Support Staff to join our hardware shop in Changi Road. The role will support our day-to-day shop, inventory, delivery and administrative operations, ensuring that orders, stock and documentation are properly managed.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is comfortable working in a retail/hardware environment, coordinating with suppliers and delivery personnel, and handling both physical and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Inventory
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries and ensure goods are received and dispatched accurately.
- Check incoming goods against delivery orders, purchase orders and invoices.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock counts and inventory records.
- Prepare and arrange goods for customer deliveries and collections.
- Coordinate with drivers, transport companies and suppliers on delivery schedules.
- Follow up on delayed, missing or incorrect deliveries.
Administrative & Documentation
- Prepare and process purchase orders, delivery orders, invoices and other relevant documents.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, purchases, sales and deliveries.
- Perform data entry and update inventory and administrative records.
- Organise and maintain physical and digital filing systems.
- Assist with basic office administration and other clerical duties.
Shop & Customer Support
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the hardware shop when required.
- Attend to basic customer enquiries and assist customers with locating products.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding product availability, pricing and orders.
- Support the team with ad-hoc operational tasks as required.
Communication & Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, drivers and internal staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow up promptly on outstanding orders, deliveries and documentation.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies, delivery issues or operational concerns to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum Higher Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Science or a related field is an advantage.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable handling numbers, paperwork and data entry.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and other office applications.
- Able to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers and delivery personnel.
- Physically fit and comfortable handling and moving hardware/stock when required.
- Responsible, punctual, willing to learn and able to work independently.
- Able to work 6 days per week, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
