The posting

Responsibility We are looking for a reliable and responsible Lorry Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, ensuring that all bakery products are handled with care and adhere to strict hygiene and safety standards.

Job Description

  • Safely transport bread and cake products from the processing facility to various locations, including distribution centers, retail outlets, and customer sites.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of bakery products, ensuring that all items are securely packed and handled with care to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Conduct routine checks on the lorry to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or necessary repairs to the maintenance team or team leader promptly.
  • Adhere to all relevant transportation and food safety regulations, including maintaining proper temperature control for perishable goods during transit.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries, taking into consideration traffic, weather conditions, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours, delivery times, and any incidents during transport. Submit these reports to the supervisor regularly.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner during deliveries. Address any questions or concerns they may have regarding the delivered products.
  • Ensure the lorry and cargo area are kept clean and sanitized according to company hygiene standards, especially when transporting food products.
  • Able to carry heavy goods, roughly 15KG - 30KG.
  • Able to work under pressure and perform deliveries in hot and outdoor environments.
  • Need to work at public holiday, weekend and overtime.
  • Working Location: Woodlands, 1st trip will start at 6 am-630am

Requirement

  • At least 2 Year(s) working experience and related field are required for this position.
  • Must have a valid Singapore Class 3 driving license
  • Familiar driving on Singapore roads or able to use GPS
  • Strategic & critical thinking as well as decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Able to adapt, prioritize, exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi task and work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and teamwork spirit.
  • Time management/ meticulous and mature in work.
