  • Plan and schedule patching activities across DEV, UAT, and PROD environments.
  • Stage patch binaries and prepare environments for implementation.
  • Perform Oracle Home backups and ensure rollback and recovery readiness before patching.
  • Execute patch deployment while minimising service disruption, particularly within production environments.
  • Provide operational and patching support for Oracle HTTP Server (OHS).
  • Support Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF).
  • Support Oracle Forms and Reports and Oracle Fusion Middleware 14c environments.
  • Support Oracle Database Enterprise Server 19c and Oracle Data Guard environments.
  • Perform database patching within active/passive Data Guard architectures.
  • Manage database switchover activities and validate database health, connectivity, listeners, redo transport, and synchronization.
  • Support and patch Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c, including Management Servers, repository databases, and monitoring agents.
  • Support patching and validation activities for Pro*C environments.
  • Review vulnerability assessment findings, security reviews, and audit findings.
  • Determine the applicability of identified vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
  • Implement approved patching, configuration hardening, and remediation activities.
  • Conduct post-remediation validation and support vulnerability re-scanning activities.
  • Raise and manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs) for patch-related technical issues.
  • Coordinate with Oracle Support engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform post-patch validation, service health checks, and stabilization support.
  • Troubleshoot middleware, database, application connectivity, and patch-related issues.
  • Prepare patch documentation including CPU Assessment Risk Matrix, Method of Procedure (MOP), implementation schedules, rollback plans, validation records, and completion reports.
  • Ensure all activities comply with operational, security, change management, and governance requirements.
  • Support knowledge transfer and technical handover activities when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience administering Oracle Fusion Middleware environments, preferably 14c or above.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Oracle Database 19c and Oracle Data Guard environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle HTTP Server (OHS).
  • Strong experience with Oracle WebLogic Server.
  • Experience with Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF).
  • Experience supporting Oracle Forms and Reports.
  • Experience with Oracle Database administration and patching.
  • Experience supporting Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

  • Proven experience performing Oracle CPU patching.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical production systems with minimal or no downtime.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle backup, rollback, recovery, and restoration procedures.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Oracle middleware, databases, connectivity, and patch-related issues.
  • Experience working within enterprise-scale or regulated environments with formal change, release, and configuration management processes.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
