Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement machining processes for new and existing components.
  • Support the introduction, testing, and qualification of CNC and other machining equipment.
  • Optimize machining processes to improve quality, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Work with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot machining and process-related issues.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead problem-solving and corrective-action activities using structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
  • Drive initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase process reliability.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve workflows and eliminate non-value-added activities.
  • Support process risk assessments and quality improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate process documentation, work instructions, and technical standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to machinists, operators, and technicians.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure machining activities meet required safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on machining or manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Strong practical experience with CNC machining, particularly 3-axis milling and/or turning.
  • Experience with EDM or other precision machining processes is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of tooling, fixtures, machining parameters, and manufacturing methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems and basic metrology/inspection techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to process improvement.
  • Comfortable working with production, engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with complex or high-value engineered components.
  • Background in repair, overhaul, refurbishment, or precision manufacturing environments.
  • Exposure to machining process qualification and new equipment implementation.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality improvement methodologies.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
