About the Role
We are looking for an Electrical & Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring reliable operations and minimising equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment faults, breakdowns and perform basic root cause analysis (RCA).
- Carry out equipment installation, replacement, dismantling and servicing.
- Perform equipment calibration and validation when required.
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete tasks within the required timeframe.
- Ensure all equipment is safe and ready for operation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Coordinate with external contractors during maintenance and servicing work.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and conduct stock checks.
- Support continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Follow all workplace safety, health and environmental requirements.
- Carry out daily 5S housekeeping and participate in safety inspections, near-miss reporting and improvement activities.
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, production teams and other technicians to ensure smooth plant operations.
Requirements
- Minimum ITE NITEC in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Able to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic RCA.
- Basic documentation and report-writing skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, proactive and willing to learn.
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on maintenance work.
