About the Role

We are seeking an experienced accounting and fund administration professional to lead our accounting team while supporting the development and growth of our Fund Administration practice. This role combines technical accounting expertise, client relationship management and operational leadership, with a focus on servicing investment-related entities, including investment funds, fund managers, family offices and investment holding structures.

The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and enhancing our fund administration capabilities, guiding the accounting team, developing best practices and supporting the expansion of our services to investment-related clients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting & Client Management

· Assist the CEO in managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, including investment-related entities, family offices, fund managers and corporate clients.

· Provide technical accounting guidance and practical business solutions to the team and clients.

· Support the firm in managing key client relationships and resolving technical accounting matters.

Fund Administration Leadership

· Support the firm in developing and expanding the firm's Fund Administration service offering, including assist in establishing fund administration policies, workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control standards.

· Provide technical guidance, mentorship and training to the Accounting team on fund accounting and fund administration matters.

· Review fund accounting and financial reporting work prepared by the team and provide technical guidance where required.

· Keep abreast of industry developments, regulatory requirements and best practices relating to fund administration, and provide recommendations to management.

· Support the onboarding of fund administration clients and oversee the implementation of fund administration processes.

· Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated accounting, tax, payroll, company secretarial and fund administration solutions.

· Assist in evaluating, implementing and enhancing fund administration systems, workflows and technology.

· Support the development of relationships with fund managers, family offices, investment firms and other stakeholders to strengthen the firm's fund administration capabilities.

Requirements

· Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.

· At least 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting firm, fund administration firm or professional services environment is highly preferred.

· At least 3-5 years’ experience in fund administration, fund accounting or servicing investment-related entities is highly preferred.

· Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).

· Good understanding of Singapore investment structures, including Variable Capital Companies (VCCs), family offices and investment holding entities.

· Familiarity with MAS regulatory requirements relating to investment structures and fund administration is an advantage.

· Experience managing a portfolio of clients and reviewing financial statements.

· Strong leadership, communication and client relationship management skills.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities.

· Ability to manage multiple engagements and work effectively under tight deadlines.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and cloud accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks. Experience with fund accounting platforms will be an advantage.
