Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Manual Tester to support an ongoing digital transformation project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing functional testing of web-based applications, ensuring that system functionalities meet business requirements and quality standards. The role involves working closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and project stakeholders to identify defects, validate fixes, and support successful application releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to understand application functionalities.
  • Develop and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business requirements.
  • Perform functional testing, system integration testing (SIT), regression testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct retesting and regression testing following defect fixes and application enhancements.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test cases, test results, defect logs, and testing evidence.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to clarify requirements and resolve functional issues.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, defects, and outstanding issues.
  • Support ongoing application enhancements and releases to ensure system quality and stability.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in manual testing, functional testing, or software quality assurance.
  • Experience testing web-based applications and business workflows.
  • Good understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, defect management, and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Experience in SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking or test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify functional issues.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage testing activities within project timelines.
