Role Overview

The Marketing & Business Development Executive is responsible for driving the firm’s marketing presence, brand visibility, and business development initiatives across the region. This role is ideal for someone with experience within architecture, interior design, real estate, property development, engineering, design consultancy, or other professional-services environments, and who is comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on operational execution.

The individual will lead marketing campaigns, BD events, branding activities, industry submissions, and firm-wide initiatives that strengthen SOG’s market positioning. This role also supports cross-functional teams ensuring consistent brand representation across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Strategy & Execution

· Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with the firm’s growth objectives.

· Manage end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, including content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking.

· Oversee digital marketing activities, including website updates, social media, newsletters, and EDMs.

· Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external communications.

2. Business Development & Events

· Prepare and coordinate pitch materials, RFP submissions, technical proposals, credentials, company profiles, presentations, and other BD collaterals in collaboration with partners and business leaders.

· Plan, coordinate, and execute BD events, seminars, conferences, and client engagement activities.

· Identify opportunities for industry participation, sponsorships, and networking events.

· Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support BD strategies.

3. Branding & Collateral Development

· Strengthen SOG’s brand identity through consistent messaging, visual design, and high-quality materials.

· Design or oversee the creation of marketing assets such as banners, brochures, pamphlets, name cards, and presentation decks.

· Ensure all client-facing and corporate materials are thoroughly quality-checked for accuracy, content, spelling, formatting, typography, alignment, image quality, and brand consistency prior to issue.

· Ensure all materials adhere to brand guidelines and professional service standards.

4. Industry Research & Submissions

· Conduct research on industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitor activities.

· Lead or support the preparation of industry submissions, award applications, and professional listings.

· Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather data, insights, and supporting documents.

5. Operational & Administrative Responsibilities

· Manage the full cycle of marketing operations, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and logistics.

· Maintain marketing databases, mailing lists, and content libraries.

· Track KPIs and prepare monthly or quarterly marketing reports for management.

Required Skills & Experience

· Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing, Business Development, or Communications.

· Preferred: Experience within architecture, interior design, real estate, property development, engineering, design consultancy, or other professional-services environments.

· Proven track record in planning and executing marketing and BD initiatives.

Technical Skills

· Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is essential.

· Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop proficiency is preferred.

· Proficiency in Canva.

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

· Familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing tools, and social media platforms.

Competencies

· Strong ownership and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Strong project management and organisational skills.

· Hands-on, resourceful, and comfortable managing both strategy and execution.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Creative eye for branding and design.

· Ability to build productive working relationships with cross-functional teams, including HR, Operations, and Leadership.

· High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
