Job Summary

Support the maintenance and repair of automotive and powered equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety at Seletar Country Club.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Mechanic in overhauling and repairing automotive and powered equipment to maintain functionality
  • Perform electric and gas welding tasks to support equipment repair and maintenance
  • Lubricate and service automotive and turf equipment to ensure smooth operation
  • Maintain workshop equipment and facilities in good working condition through regular checks and upkeep
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly to promote a safe and efficient environment
  • Inspect equipment for operational deficiencies and perform routine adjustments to prevent breakdowns
  • Inspect, change, and repair tires to maintain equipment mobility and safety
  • Repair and adjust engines and cutting mechanisms on various heavy and light equipment to ensure proper function
  • Troubleshoot defects in cutting units to identify and resolve issues promptly
  • Grind and adjust reel and bedknife cutting heights to maintain cutting precision
  • Perform automotive-type body repair and painting work to restore equipment appearance and protection
  • Accurately enter job details onto job sheets for administrative updating and machine history filing
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department, Superintendent, or Golf Manager to support club operations
  • Work a 5.5-day week schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum NITEC/Higher NITEC in Automotive Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Willingness and ability to work on weekends and public holidays
