Job Summary

The Minimart Outlet Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the minimart outlet to ensure smooth business operations, good customer service, proper inventory management, accurate cash handling and achievement of outlet performance targets.

The role will also involve coordinating outlet staff, maintaining merchandising and store standards, monitoring stock movement, minimizing wastage and shrinkage, and ensuring compliance with the company’s operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the daily operations of the minimart outlet, including opening and closing procedures.
  2. Ensure the outlet is adequately staffed and coordinate staff deployment, shift duties and daily work assignments.
  3. Supervise and guide outlet staff to ensure service and operational standards are maintained.
  4. Oversee POS transactions, cash handling and daily sales reconciliation.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely stock replenishment.
  6. Coordinate receiving of goods, stock checking, stock rotation and expiry monitoring.
  7. Conduct regular stock counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  8. Monitor stock wastage, shrinkage and damaged or expired products.
  9. Ensure products are properly displayed, priced and arranged according to merchandising and promotional requirements.
  10. Ensure promotional campaigns and pricing changes are implemented accurately at the outlet.
  11. Maintain a high standard of customer service and handle customer feedback, enquiries and complaints professionally.
  12. Monitor outlet cleanliness, safety and general housekeeping standards.
  13. Ensure compliance with company SOPs, operational procedures and relevant retail requirements.
  14. Monitor outlet performance, including sales, transactions, inventory movement and other operational KPIs.
  15. Identify operational issues and recommend improvements to enhance outlet efficiency and customer experience.
  16. Prepare basic outlet reports and maintain accurate operational records.
  17. Support manpower planning, stock planning and outlet preparation during peak periods and promotional campaigns.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to supervise and coordinate a retail team.
  • Comfortable working with POS systems and basic operational reports.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays where required.
