As a Mortgage Specialist, you will gain hands-on experience in mortgage advisory, home financing, refinancing, and client relationship management. You will work closely with clients to understand their property financing needs, financial objectives, and loan requirements before evaluating suitable mortgage solutions. Your role will involve comparing mortgage packages, interest rates, loan structures, and financing options across different banks, and presenting recommendations that are aligned with each client’s circumstances and objectives.
You will also support clients throughout the end-to-end mortgage process, from the initial consultation and loan comparison through to application, approval, and completion. As you develop your advisory capabilities, you will build and maintain professional relationships with clients, bankers, lawyers, property professionals, and referral partners.
Mortgage & Financial Solutions
The role provides practical exposure to residential mortgages, refinancing, loan structuring, interest rate considerations, and property financing strategies. You will research developments in mortgage rates, bank lending packages, financing policies, and the wider property market to support informed client recommendations.
You will gain experience in assessing different financing structures and helping clients understand the implications of their mortgage decisions. This includes evaluating solutions based on affordability, cash flow, financial priorities, and longer-term property and financial objectives. Through exposure to different client scenarios, you will develop a strong understanding of property purchases, refinancing, restructuring, and investment property financing.
Leadership & Team Development
Beyond mortgage advisory, the position is designed to provide a structured pathway into leadership and management. You will take on the responsibility of mentoring, coaching, and guiding an assigned team of two consultants while supporting their development in client engagement, mortgage advisory, and business development.
Through structured leadership and management development programmes, you will develop practical capabilities in team building, performance management, strategic decision-making, business planning, and business development. As your experience and capabilities grow, you will progressively take on greater responsibility in managing people, client pipelines, sales activities, and business growth initiatives.
Business Development & Entrepreneurship
You will also be involved in business development initiatives focused on expanding client networks and growing the mortgage advisory practice. This includes developing strategies for client acquisition, referral generation, relationship building, and long-term business development.
The role provides exposure to the entrepreneurial side of building an advisory business, allowing you to develop professional networks with property agents, bankers, lawyers, developers, and other strategic partners. As you progress, you will have the opportunity to build and manage your own client portfolio and referral network, with support and guidance from experienced mentors and management. High-performing individuals may progressively work towards establishing and developing their own advisory division.
