Company Overview
Our client is a leading high-precision manufacturer operating a dedicated New Product Introduction (NPI) Centre of Excellence. We are partnering with them to hire a specialist to establish and transfer robust manufacturing processes into production.
The Role
You will spearhead the development, validation, and industrialisation of injection moulding processes for new products. This is a strategic, project-driven position focused purely on NPI.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead moulding process development and define robust strategies for NPI programmes.
- Execute mould trials (T0 to T3) and establish precise process windows utilising scientific moulding principles and DOE.
- Drive end-to-end process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) and define critical process control parameters.
- Provide technical leadership during DFM evaluations, tool design reviews, and Moldflow analysis.
- Support FAT and SAT for tooling and automation, ensuring the successful handover of validated processes to the production team.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of injection moulding process engineering experience, with a strong focus on supporting NPI programmes.
- Deep understanding of scientific moulding principles; RJG or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of hot runner systems, SPC, process capability (Cp/Cpk), and Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience in medical, electronics, or high-precision manufacturing environments is advantageous.
