Job Summary

The Operations Assistant Manager will oversee the Company's daily operations, project delivery, process improvement, resource management, and cross-functional coordination. The role will work closely with management and various business functions to improve operational efficiency, strengthen internal processes, monitor performance, and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational plans and initiatives aligned with the Company's business objectives.
  • Review and streamline workflows, policies, procedures, and SOPs to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, project progress, service standards, and departmental performance, and implement improvements where required.
  • Oversee consulting projects and internal operational initiatives to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including consultants, HR, Finance, IT, General Affairs, and other business units, to achieve operational goals.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to manage requirements, resolve operational issues, and maintain service quality.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies and implement practical process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, Company policies, internal procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Lead and support operations team members through work allocation, performance monitoring, coaching, and development.
  • Manage budgets, operational expenses, resource allocation, procurement, vendor sourcing, quotation comparison, and vendor performance.
  • Support the effective use of ERP, CRM, workflow management, and other technology solutions to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management on business expansion, proposal development, client engagement, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare management reports, proposals, presentations, and operational documentation as required.
  • Perform other operational, project management, and ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Preferred Competencies and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in operations, business management, consulting, project management, corporate services, or a related environment.
  • Experience in project management, process improvement, SOP development, KPI monitoring, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, procurement, vendor management, and resource planning.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, problem-solving, project management, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP, CRM, workflow management, or other business systems.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin and read and write Chinese, as the role requires regular communication with Mandarin-speaking clients, regional stakeholders, vendors, and business partners, as well as handling Chinese-language instructions, correspondence, reports, and documentation.
