The posting

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Overseas Product & Growth Operations Specialist to support the growth and continuous improvement of our Chinese educational app.

Our business focuses on making Chinese language learning more accessible and engaging through our digital educational platform, complemented by onsite Chinese language and cultural classes in Singapore and overseas.

In this role, you will work closely with our product, technology, design, marketing and overseas operations teams to understand user needs, analyse product performance, support product improvements and develop initiatives that improve user engagement, retention and conversion.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with both data and people, and who is interested in how digital products can grow in overseas markets.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to help build and grow a product, rather than simply complete assigned operational tasks.

An interest in Chinese language, education and culture will be a strong advantage, as our business combines digital Chinese learning with onsite Chinese language and cultural experiences.

Product Operations

  • Collect, organise and analyse user feedback, reviews and usage information to identify user needs and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Assist in defining product requirements and preparing clear requirement documentation.
  • Coordinate with product, technology and design teams to follow up on product development, testing and release timelines.
  • Monitor product updates and assist with post-release reviews and improvement initiatives.
  • Support the implementation and tracking of product enhancement projects.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Monitor key product and business metrics, including user engagement, retention, course completion, conversion and payment performance.
  • Analyse user behaviour and conversion funnels to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports to support product and business decision-making.
  • Assist in analysing user and product data to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Support A/B testing and evaluate results to understand the effectiveness of product improvements.

Growth & User Operations

  • Support initiatives to improve user acquisition, engagement, retention and conversion.
  • Assist in optimising the user lifecycle and identifying opportunities to improve the overall user journey.
  • Support growth features such as membership programmes, rewards, referral mechanisms and other user engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in planning and executing product campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Monitor campaign and growth performance and recommend areas for improvement.

App Store & ASO Operations

  • Support App Store Optimization (ASO) for the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • Maintain and optimise app titles, descriptions, keywords and other app store content.
  • Monitor app store performance and identify opportunities to improve visibility and conversion.
  • Assist with updating app store assets and coordinating version release-related tasks.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with product, technology, design, marketing and overseas operation steams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Coordinate with different teams to track project timelines, deliverables and outstanding issues.
  • Follow up on project progress and provide timely updates on potential risks or delays.
  • Assist in improving product operations processes, reporting and team workflows.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Product Management, Business, Marketing, Operations, Data Analytics, Internet Studies, or a related field.
  • 1–3years of relevant experience in product operations, growth operations, digital operations, business operations, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify practical insights.
  • Good communication, coordination and project execution skills.
  • Proactive, organised and able to follow through on tasks and resolve issues.
  • Good English proficiency, particularly in reading and understanding English-language product, market and industry materials.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required to support Chinese-speaking clients and developer and manage content within a Chinese-language platform.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with different teams.

The following will be an advantage:

  • Experience working on, supporting or operating mobile app products, particularly educational, language-learning or consumer-facing apps.
  • Experience working with overseas-facing apps, SaaS products, educational products or digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with App Store Optimization (ASO) and Google Play operations.
  • Experience with product or analytics tools such as Firebase, GA4, Amplitude or Mix panel.
  • Understanding of user growth, customer lifecycle, retention and conversion strategies.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion funnel analysis.
  • Knowledge of SQL or BI tools, such as Looker Studio or Power BI.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar tools to improve work efficiency.
