The Singapore office is continuing to grow to meet the needs of the local and international markets and DCCA now proudly represents the top 6 biggest local patent filers. About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a patent administrator / secretary to join our dynamic Singapore team on a full-time basis in our Singapore office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing secretarial and administrative support to designated patent attorney(s)/trainee(s)
  • Processing and responding to client and general email correspondence
  • Monitoring and attending to system-generated deadlines
  • Preparing and submitting various official correspondence, such as patent forms with IPOS and the e-PCT system
  • Preparing invoices on matters
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties as required including support to others

About You:

  • Experience as a patent administrator / secretary (preferably 2 years or more experience)
  • Experience in the patent prosecution process
  • Knowledge of the patenting process, timeframes and documentary requirements
  • Working knowledge of WIPO and patent office procedures
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Enjoys being part of a team and building good working relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
  • Knowledge/ability to use specialised software packages. Experience with Inprotech and iManage is an advantage.
  • Works co-operatively and demonstrates own initiative to assist others in need of assistance
  • Demonstrates a strong client service focus supporting the commercial practices of the firm
  • Demonstrates a pro-active, positive and flexible attitude at work
