Overview

As a Patient Service Associate (PSA) in the Emergency Department, you will play an important frontline role in supporting the department’s daily operations and facilitating a smooth patient journey. You will work closely with patients, visitors and healthcare teams to provide timely and efficient administrative and service support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to the registration of patients and visitors.
  • Handle billing, payment collection and related administrative matters.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and manage inbound and outbound calls, emails and other correspondence.
  • Support observation ward operations, including preparing the necessary medical documents for doctors’ review.
  • Coordinate patient admissions and discharges.
  • Attend to patient and visitor enquiries and provide appropriate assistance.
  • Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure smooth and efficient patient service operations.

Requirements

  • Diploma, NITEC/Higher NITEC in any discipline.
  • Prior experience in customer service, frontline operations or a fast-paced work environment would be advantageous.
  • Able to perform 3 rotating shiftson a 6-day work week, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Service-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A good team player who is able towork effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Comfortable using IT systems and applications.
  • Able to remain composed,organised and responsive in a busy Emergency Department environment.
