Overview
As a Patient Service Associate, you play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the ward. You will provide frontline administrative support to patients and their families, while working closely with nurses,doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patient admissions, transfers, discharges and other administrative processes are handled accuratelyand efficiently.
Responsibilities
Patient & Ward Support
- Manage patient admissions, transfers and discharge procedures accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate appointments and other patient-related administrative arrangements.
- Maintain and update patient information and records accurately in hospital systems.
- Attend to enquiries from patients and their family members in a professional and service-oriented manner.
- Provide timely administrative support to nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals.
Ward Operations
- Handle multiple tasks concurrently, including phone calls, walk-in enquiries, system transactions and ward requests.
- Work effectively across various hospital and clinical support systems.
- Prioritise tasks appropriately when demands or operational requirements change.
- Support the smooth and efficient daily operations of the inpatient ward.
- Maintain accuracy and professionalism while working in an environment with frequent interruptions and competing priorities.
Requirements
- Diploma in any discipline, GCE 'A'/'O'/'N' Level, Higher NITEC in Business Studies, or NITEC in Service Skills.
- Customer-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Computer-savvy and comfortable working with multiple systems.
- Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Service-oriented, responsible and a strong team player.
- Required to work 2 rotating shifts.
- Required to work on weekends and public holidays, where applicable.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a busy ward environment where priorities may change quickly.
