Job Summary

You will install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair high-pressure piping systems in industrial and commercial settings, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

  • Read technical drawings, schematics, and isometric blueprints to plan piping layouts and material requirements
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend metal or plastic pipes using saws, torches, and threading machines to fit specifications
  • Join pipe sections by welding, brazing, soldering, or cementing to assemble piping systems
  • Mount brackets, clamps, and hangers to securely support pipes on walls, ceilings, and structures
  • Conduct pressure and leak tests using gauges to verify system safety and proper functionality
  • Lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work safely in tight spaces or at heights

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of tool usage, safety codes, and blueprint reading to perform tasks accurately and safely
