A boutique international preschool in Singapore is looking for an experienced Preschool Principal to take the lead in its next stage of growth.

The school is built around a strong pedagogy of play, where children learn through exploration, creativity and meaningful experiences. With a close-knit community and a strong focus on holistic development, joyful learning and family partnerships, the school is looking for a driven leader to spearhead growth, shape the school’s direction and build its identity and culture.

More Than Running a School

This is an entrepreneurial and evolving environment where the Principal will play a key role in shaping what comes next.

Not everything comes with a ready-made playbook. The right person will be comfortable writing the playbook in real time, building systems, developing the team, testing ideas and turning good ideas into action.

We are looking for someone with drive, initiative and a strong sense of ownership who enjoys being hands-on, spotting opportunities and proactively making things happen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of around 16 teachers and educators
  • Spearhead the school’s growth, direction and development
  • Shape a positive, collaborative and purpose-driven school culture
  • Guide teachers in delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences
  • Coach, mentor and develop the teaching team
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with parents and families
  • Be a visible and positive representative of the school to families and the wider community
  • Oversee smooth day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with ECDA requirements
  • Develop and strengthen systems, processes and practices as the school continues to grow
  • Take ownership of challenges and work proactively with the team to find practical solutions

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Leadership qualification such as DECCE-L, DPL, DPT-L or ADECL
  • Eligible for ECDA Centre Leader registration
  • Minimum 5 years of early childhood experience, with leadership exposure
