Job Summary

The Pricing Analyst supports pricing activities for international air and ocean freight by analyzing market data, preparing competitive pricing submissions, and collaborating with stakeholders across Singapore, APAC, and the US to drive commercial success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to pricing requests for international air and ocean freight services to ensure timely and accurate submissions
  • Analyse RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and ad-hoc pricing requirements to prepare competitive pricing proposals aligned with customer needs
  • Obtain and evaluate rates from airlines, shipping lines, co-loaders, overseas offices, agents, and service providers to inform pricing decisions
  • Review customer requirements, shipment profiles, trade lanes, and operational factors to develop effective pricing solutions
  • Monitor market rates, carrier developments, and freight trends to support strategic pricing competitiveness
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Procurement, and other teams to develop commercially viable pricing strategies
  • Maintain comprehensive pricing information, rate databases, and supporting documentation for accuracy and accessibility
  • Track pricing outcomes, including win/loss data, to identify opportunities for pricing improvements
  • Support contract renewals, rate reviews, and other pricing initiatives with detailed analysis and recommendations
  • Communicate pricing insights and updates effectively with regional and global stakeholders
  • Manage multiple pricing requests and deadlines independently while fostering cross-functional collaboration
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Participate in calls and coordination across different time zones, including occasional flexibility for US-based meetings

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, pricing, tender management, or related functions
  • Practical experience in both air and ocean freight pricing and freight forwarding processes
  • Experience handling RFQs, RFPs, tenders, and pricing within an international logistics organization
