NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Principal Process Engineer to support offshore Oil & Gas engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute process engineering studies and design activities, including process configuration development and optimization.
- Perform process simulations and prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs), Heat & Material Balances, and Utility Balances.
- Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Prepare process and instrumentation datasheets and technical specifications.
- Conduct relief and blowdown studies, analyze relief scenarios, and determine flare system requirements.
- Perform equipment sizing calculations, line sizing, and hydraulic analyses.
- Develop process design philosophies, operating manuals, and engineering deliverables.
- Support the execution of Concept, FEED, and Detailed Engineering projects.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to project planning and execution activities.
- Interface with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of process engineering experience within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or energy sectors.
- Proven experience in offshore developments, including FPSO facilities, oil & gas production systems, LNG, or gas processing projects.
- Strong knowledge of process design, heat and material balance development, equipment sizing, and P&ID preparation.
- Experience leading process engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities.
- Familiarity with Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design project phases.
- Exposure to low-carbon, decarbonization, or energy transition projects would be advantageous.
- Previous experience as a Lead Process Engineer, Area Lead Process Engineer, or Principal Process Engineer is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
