The posting

Role Purpose

The Private Client Property Consultant is responsible for generating, managing and converting direct client opportunities for Berkeley’s residential developments in London and the wider UK, managing the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Sales & Client Management
  • Managing the full sales cycle - Qualifying and nurturing leads. Deliver tailored development presentations.
  • Manage negotiations and liaise with Berkeley’s UK operating companies to progress sales.
  • Take ownership of individual sales targets and contribute to the Singapore office sales objectives.
  • Develop new direct-client opportunities through enquiries, referrals, networking and client events.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with private clients, providing a responsive, discreet, and personalized service.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and nurture client relationships to support repeat business and referrals.

Property & Market Knowledge

  • Maintain current knowledge of Berkeley developments, the London residential property market and relevant purchasing processes.
  • Provide clients with clear and accurate property and market information.
  • Refer clients to qualified legal, tax, mortgage or financial professionals where specialist advice is required.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external professional advisers to support clients through the transaction process.

CRM, Reporting & Marketing

  • Maintain accurate client, lead and opportunity information in the CRM system and provide regular sales and pipeline reporting.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing on client campaigns and engagement initiatives.
  • Attend and support property exhibitions, seminars, client events and other promotional activities as required.

Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Follow applicable company policies and regulatory requirements relating to property sales, client due diligence, anti-money laundering, sanctions screening and record-keeping.
  • Maintain accurate client and source-of-funds information and promptly escalate potential compliance concerns.
  • Ensure client communications and promotional materials are accurate, approved, and not misleading.
  • Protect confidential client information and maintain appropriate transaction records.

Experience & Requirements

  • Proven experience in consultative sales, business development or private-client relationship management, preferably within property, financial services, luxury or another high-value sales environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle and deliver against individual sales targets.
  • Knowledge of the London or UK residential property market is preferred to handle direct clients' enquiries.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; Mandarin would be an advantage due to the need to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates and clients.
  • Client-focused, commercially minded, self-motivated and confident engaging with private clients and professional advisers.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience using CRM systems.
  • Willing to attend client events and exhibitions outside normal business hours, including selected weekends, and travel when required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
