The posting

Position: Private Family Driver Location: Newton Salary: S$7,000 per month

Working Hours:

  • Flexible and variable working hours depending on the family’s schedule.
  • On school days, work may generally start from around 7:00am.
  • Working hours may be longer when the employer is in Singapore and requires driving services.
  • Working hours may be shorter when the employer does not require regular driving services.
  • No fixed daily working hours; flexibility is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for the employer and family members.
  • Drive children to and from school and other daily activities.
  • Handle daily transportation, errands and ad-hoc driving duties as required.
  • Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition.
  • Assist with vehicle servicing, maintenance and basic checks when required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when working with the family.

Requirements:

  • Valid Singapore Class 3/3A driving licence.
  • Relevant experience as a private or family driver preferred.
  • Able to communicate comfortably in Chinese, as the employer is Chinese-speaking.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore roads.
  • Safe and responsible driving habits.
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible.
  • Polite, discreet and respectful when working in a private household.
  • Experience working for a Chinese-speaking family or private household is an advantage.
