Job Purpose
The Procurement & Logistics Executive manages end-to-end supply chain activities, including sourcing materials, managing supplier and buyer relationships, overseeing inventory, and coordinating timely import/export and domestic distribution to support business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sourcing & Procurement
- Research, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) based on inventory requisitions and project requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, credit terms, lead times, and contract terms to ensure cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.
2. Warehouse/Store & Logistics Management
- Coordinate global and domestic freight transportation (Air, Sea, Road) with 3PL providers and freight forwarders.
- Prepare, review, and handle incoming and outgoing goods / shipment.
- Assist in local door to door delivery when required.
3. Inventory Control & Warehouse Coordination
- Monitor inventory levels across warehouses and stores to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Liaise with warehouse operations to verify physical stock counts against ERP/inventory system records.
- Manage return-to-vendor (RTV) processes for damaged, defective, or non-conforming shipments. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in procurement, purchasing, or freight forwarding/logistics management. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Odoo). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables). Soft Skills: Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities. Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Clear communication skills for effective cross-departmental coordination.
