Role Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Executive to support the sourcing and purchasing of technical parts, components, materials and services for marine-engine and after-sales operations.

The successful candidate will manage purchase requirements from enquiry through delivery, ensuring that goods and services meet the required specifications, quality standards, budgets and project timelines. The role requires close coordination with suppliers, engineering teams, service departments and logistics providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement of marine-engine parts, technical components, materials and services.
  • Review purchase requisitions and clarify technical specifications with engineering and operational teams.
  • Identify suitable suppliers and issue requests for quotations.
  • Evaluate quotations based on cost, quality, lead time, technical compliance and commercial terms.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and contractual conditions with suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with approved procedures and budgets.
  • Monitor outstanding orders and ensure that materials and services are delivered within the required timelines.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses and internal teams on delivery arrangements.
  • Resolve late deliveries, quality concerns, quantity discrepancies and invoice-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information and purchasing data within the ERP system.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Support supplier evaluation, performance reviews and the development of alternative supply sources.
  • Monitor market conditions, material costs and supply-chain risks.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs and improve purchasing efficiency.
  • Ensure purchased items meet the required technical, quality and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Service, Finance, Quality and Logistics teams.
  • Support audits, inventory reviews and procurement reporting when required.
  • Perform other purchasing and supply-chain duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Business or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within the marine, engineering, manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Experience purchasing marine-engine parts, machinery components or technical services would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of sourcing, quotation evaluation, purchase orders and supplier management.
  • Able to read and understand technical specifications, drawings or equipment descriptions.
  • Strong negotiation, cost-analysis and vendor-management skills.
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers and coordinating international deliveries would be beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems; experience with SAP would be advantageous.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
